Python work ranges from a classic Django site to async APIs and data jobs. We shortlist people for the kind of Python you run, not for the word on a CV. This page is about one or a few developers under your management. For an application we build for a fixed price, see web application development. For a whole group with its own PM, a dedicated team fits better.
Hire Python Developers
Your product runs on Python, or the work around it does: a Django back end, a FastAPI service, nightly scripts that move data between systems. A local hire takes months. We find a Python developer who joins your team, works in your repository and your sprints under your tech lead, full time or part time, and is paid by the hour.
$45 to $65 an hour
What our Python developers do
-
01.
Django and Django REST Framework
Models, migrations, the admin, permissions, serializers and viewsets, Celery for slow tasks.
-
02.
FastAPI and Flask
Async APIs with Pydantic validation, OpenAPI docs out of the box, authentication with OAuth2 or JWT, SQLAlchemy and Alembic for the database.
-
03.
Data processing
Imports, exports and scheduled jobs with pandas or Polars, Celery or Airflow, with failures logged, not silent.
-
04.
Integrations and automation
Payment providers, CRMs, marketplaces and internal tools connected with httpx or requests, webhooks and retries.
-
05.
AI features
Calls to language model APIs, embeddings and search over your own content with pgvector or a vector store, with costs kept in view.
-
06.
Tests and upgrades
Pytest, type checks with mypy, linting with Ruff, Docker and CI, and step-by-step moves from old Python and Django versions to current ones.

The developer starts
We arrange onboarding and access, the developer joins your next sprint, and every month you get a report on the hours and the work.
What you get
The code, the data pipelines and all the intellectual property are handed over to you under the contract.
A shortlist of 2 to 4 Python developers matched to your framework, your Python version and the kind of work.
Your own interviews and your own decision on who joins.
Contracts, NDAs, equipment and access to your repository, cloud and data, arranged by us.
A developer inside your process: your tracker, your code review, your stand-ups.
A monthly report on hours and work, plus regular check-ins.
A replacement if the developer does not fit, with the handover organised by us.

How you can work with us
Whatever the format, the work is shaped around how your business runs, not a template, and what we build belongs to you. The same people and standards in three formats: choose the one that fits your stage, or combine them.

Pricing
$45 to $65 an hour
The rate depends on seniority (middle, senior or lead), on full time or part time work, and on niche skills such as heavy async services, large data jobs or AI integrations with strict data rules. Compared with a local hire in the US or Western Europe, the cost is usually 40 to 60% lower.
You pay by the hour for the hours actually worked, on one monthly invoice. The rate covers selection, contracts, equipment, HR support, replacements and monthly reports. Hosting, cloud accounts, AI API usage and your other tools and licences stay on your side.

FAQ
Which seniority do we need?
For steady features in a tidy Django or FastAPI codebase, a middle developer is often enough. If there are no tests, the data jobs are fragile or an upgrade is ahead, a senior or lead pays off sooner. We advise, you choose.
Can the developer work with our old Python or Django version?
Yes. Tell us the versions and main packages, and we shortlist people who have maintained code of that age.
Can they train machine learning models?
These are software developers: they connect existing models and AI services to your product and build the pipelines around them. Research and training of new models is a different profile; tell us what you need and we say honestly whether we can help.
What about time zones and hours?
Our developers are in Ukraine and Eastern Europe: 3 to 5 hours of overlap with Western Europe and 2 to 4 hours with the US East Coast. Most are flexible with hours and work well async.
What if the developer does not fit?
Tell us. We replace the specialist and organise the handover.
Can we hire the developer in-house later?
Ask us. We discuss it case by case.
Django or FastAPI: which developer do we need?
Hire for the framework you already run. For a new service, Django fits a product with many related tables, user roles and an admin, and FastAPI fits a typed API or a service that mostly waits on other services. Many developers know both; tell us which one carries the product, and we shortlist for it.
Who pays for AI API usage, and how do we keep it under control?
You do: the accounts with AI providers stay in your company's name, outside our rate. Set a monthly spending limit there, and ask the developer to log every model call with its cost, cache repeated answers and send simple questions to a cheaper model. Usage grows with traffic, so agree the budget during the pilot.
Our product runs on PHP. Should we hire a Python developer for the AI part?
Usually not. A separate Python service next to a PHP product means two systems, two deployments and glue code between them. Laravel 12 and 13 have their own AI package, so a Laravel developer can add the feature in the same codebase. Python makes sense when the AI part is a large data pipeline or needs libraries that exist only in Python.
What access to our data does the developer need?
Only what the role needs. For most work an anonymised copy of the data is enough; production access can be read-only and limited to the systems the developer maintains. Keep keys and passwords in your company's password manager, and close the accounts on the developer's last day.
