Every candidate comes from our pool of developers in Ukraine and Eastern Europe whom we know personally, chosen for your store, not taken from a bench. You see 2 to 4 vetted candidates, interview them and pick one. This page is about developers inside your team, paid by the hour. For a new store or a migration with a fixed scope and price, see Shopify development. For a whole group that we run for you, a dedicated team fits better.
Hire Shopify Developers
Your Shopify store has more theme changes, app fixes and integration tasks than anyone can clear. We find a Shopify developer who joins your team and works in your tools and process, full time or part time. You manage the work, we handle the hiring and everything around the person.
$45 to $65 an hour
What our Shopify developers do
-
01.
Themes and Liquid
Online Store 2.0 sections and blocks, JSON templates, metafields and metaobjects. Work goes through Shopify CLI and Git, never edited live by hand.
-
02.
Custom apps
Apps on Shopify's app template with the Admin GraphQL API, webhooks and Polaris, for logic no public app covers.
-
03.
Integrations
ERP, CRM, warehouse and 3PL systems, marketplaces, email and loyalty tools, with sync errors logged instead of lost.
-
04.
Checkout extensions
Checkout UI extensions and Shopify Functions for discount, delivery and payment rules, including moving old checkout.liquid and Scripts customisations onto them.
-
05.
Shopify Plus
B2B, Markets for several countries and currencies, Shopify Flow automations and several stores under one organisation.
-
06.
Store speed
Core Web Vitals, leftover app scripts, heavy sections, images and fonts: found in the theme and fixed there.

How you can work with us

Pricing
$45 to $65 an hour
The rate depends on seniority (middle, senior or lead), on full time or part time, and on niche skills: Plus checkout work, Shopify Functions or complex ERP integrations can move it up. Compared with a local hire, the cost is usually 40 to 60% lower.
You pay for the hours worked, with one invoice a month. The rate includes selection, contracts, equipment, HR support, replacements and the monthly reports. Your Shopify plan, paid apps, theme licences and other tools stay on your side.

FAQ
Which level of Shopify developer do we need?
For theme changes and new sections a middle developer is usually enough. Custom apps, integrations, checkout extensions and Plus call for a senior, and a lead fits when someone has to own the store's technical decisions.
Our theme is old and heavily customised. Can they work with it?
Yes. Vintage themes, heavily edited copies of Dawn and themes left by a previous agency are common. The developer maps what is custom first, then changes it step by step or plans a move to Online Store 2.0.
Can the same developer build apps, not only themes?
Say so in the role. We shortlist only people with both theme and app experience, and you test both in the interview.
What about time zones and hours?
Our developers are in Ukraine and Eastern Europe: 3 to 5 hours of overlap with Western Europe and 2 to 4 with the US East Coast, and most are flexible with hours and work well async. We work with companies in Seattle, across the US and in Europe.
What if the developer does not fit?
We replace the specialist and arrange the handover of the theme and open tasks.
Can we hire the developer in-house later?
Ask us. We discuss it case by case.
How do we give a Shopify developer access to our store safely?
Through a collaborator account. You give the developer a four-digit request code, approve the request, choose the permissions the role needs and can change them at any time. Collaborators do not count towards your store's user limit and must use two-step authentication (Shopify Help Center, October 2026). The theme code stays in your Git repository and reaches the store through Shopify CLI. When the work ends, remove the access the same day.
Our store relied on Shopify Scripts or checkout.liquid. What kind of developer do we need?
A senior who has already moved such logic onto Shopify Functions and checkout extensions. Shopify Scripts stopped running on 30 June 2026, and apps on the information, shipping and payment steps of checkout are available only on Shopify Plus (Shopify, October 2026). Ask the candidates in the interview how they rebuilt a discount, delivery or payment rule, and note that this niche skill moves the rate up within the $45 to $65 range.
Can a Shopify developer help us move off Shopify?
Yes, on the Shopify side. The data can be exported, but the theme, the app logic and the settings have to be rebuilt on the new platform, so someone who knows your store lists what it really does: templates, apps, integrations, rules and URLs. The new store is built by a Laravel developer in your team or by us as a fixed-price project. Plan the redirects before the domain moves.
When is hiring a Shopify developer the wrong choice?
When the scope is known in advance, such as a new store or a move to Shopify: a fixed-price project from $10,000 costs less to manage. When every pricing or delivery rule needs another app, the question is the platform, not the theme. And when nobody on your side can review code, a dedicated team with its own project manager is safer than one developer working alone.
