Hire Node.js Developers

Your back end runs on Node.js, the roadmap keeps growing, and the people who know the code are already at full load. We find a Node.js developer who joins your team: in your repository, your sprints and your code review, under your tech lead, full time or part time, paid by the hour.

What our Node.js developers do

Node.js covers a wide range, from a simple Express API to event-driven services with queues and WebSockets. We match the developer to what your back end actually does, not to a keyword on a CV, and send 2 to 4 people we know personally. For a whole application or API built by us for a fixed price, see web application development. For a complete group with its own PM, look at a dedicated team.

How hiring works

01

04

You describe the role

The framework, the database, the cloud, how much real-time and queue work there is, the hours you need and the level you expect.

02

04

We send a shortlist

Usually within 1 to 3 weeks; niche or very senior profiles can take 4 to 6 weeks.

03

04

You interview

A technical interview, a look at code they wrote before or a short paid test task: your choice. The decision is yours.

04

04

The developer starts

We arrange onboarding and access, the developer picks up tasks in your next sprint, and each month you get a report on the work and the fit.

A Node.js back end with more work than people? We will find the developer who fits it.

What you get

The code, the infrastructure scripts and all the intellectual property are handed over to you under the contract.

A shortlist of 2 to 4 Node.js developers chosen for your framework, your database and the kind of load your system carries.

icon

You interview each candidate and decide who joins.

icon

Contracts, NDAs, equipment and access to your repository and cloud accounts, handled by us.

icon

A developer inside your process, in your sprints, your stand-ups and your pull request reviews.

icon

Monthly reports and regular check-ins, so you hear about any friction before it costs you a release.

icon

A replacement when the developer is not the right fit, with the handover arranged by us.

How you can work with us

Whatever the format, the work is shaped around how your business runs, not a template, and what we build belongs to you. The same people and standards in three formats: choose the one that fits your stage, or combine them.

Developers by stack

One specialist or several, in your team and under your management. Pick the stack:

Pricing

$45 to $65 an hour

The rate depends on seniority (middle, senior or lead), on full time or part time work, and on niche skills such as high-load real-time systems or message brokers. Against a local hire in the US or Western Europe, the cost is usually 40 to 60% lower.

Hours worked are billed by the hour on a monthly invoice. The rate includes selection, contracts, equipment, HR support, replacements and monthly reports. Your cloud accounts, paid services and licences are on your side.

FAQ

Who manages the developer day to day?

You do, or your tech lead. The developer takes tasks from your backlog and follows your process. Contracts, HR, check-ins and replacements stay with us.

Can they work with plain JavaScript and older Node.js versions?

Yes. A developer can keep that code working and, if you want, plan a gradual move to TypeScript and a supported runtime.

Can the developer also write front end code?

Some Node.js developers are full stack and work comfortably in React or Next.js. Tell us how the work splits between front end and back end, and we shortlist for that balance.

Do they work with serverless and the cloud?

When the role needs it, we shortlist people with AWS Lambda, Google Cloud or Vercel experience. If infrastructure is a separate job, a DevOps specialist fits better.

What about time zones?

Ukraine and Eastern Europe give 3 to 5 hours of overlap with Western Europe and 2 to 4 hours with the US East Coast. Most developers are flexible with hours and comfortable with async work.

Can we hire the developer in-house later?

Ask us. We discuss it case by case.

How quickly can a Node.js developer start?

We usually send a shortlist of 2 to 4 candidates within 1 to 3 weeks of the role description; a niche or very senior profile can take 4 to 6 weeks. After your interview and decision, we arrange the contract, the NDA, the equipment and the access, and the developer picks up tasks in your next sprint.

How do you check experience with queues and real-time work before we meet a candidate?

Every candidate passes a coding assessment, an architecture conversation and an English check before you see them, measured against the role you described: the framework, the database and how much of the work is real-time features and background jobs. You then test the 2 to 4 people on the shortlist yourself, in an interview, through code they wrote before or with a short paid test task.

What should we prepare before the developer's first day?

Personal accounts in your repository, tracker and cloud console with only the rights the role needs, never a shared login; a local setup that starts with documented commands; and a first task small enough to reach production in a few days. A short file with the structure, the rules and the commands of the codebase (we call it AGENTS.md) saves the most time. The contract, the NDA and the equipment are on our side.

Can a Node.js developer take over a back end the previous team left behind?

Yes, when the code and the access are in your hands. If the previous developer or agency has gone and nobody knows where the access, the servers and the integrations are, start with a project takeover: the audit starts from $2,500 and its price is fixed before it begins. It ends with a written report and documentation that a hired developer can continue from.
