Research before code
We did not form an opinion from a handful of familiar competitors. We studied thirty brands in the primary sample, three more to validate the structure and one reference brand. Eighteen of them could be tied to a specific architecture through technical fingerprints such as URL structure, metadata, CDN paths, payment methods and localisation formats, each finding with a recorded confidence level. How we did it.
Own what differentiates, rent what is commoditised
The proposed architecture is split into layers. The domain core owns what makes the house itself: pearl attributes, selection families, market prices, orders, customers, tax logic and price-on-request rules. The storefront carries the experience and the checkout, the administration keeps content and product data close to the core, and payments, taxes, shipping, email and infrastructure stay managed services that can be replaced.
Heritage and commerce on one page
A century of history, editorial storytelling and product content have to live together across languages and markets without fighting for the same space. We treat this content architecture as a decision of its own: it matters more to the result than any single design choice.
A team from different continents
Brand leadership, a regional business partner and an international team work across disciplines and time zones, each holding a different piece of what the house needs. That is why discovery did not end before design started: it continues alongside the work. The first launch.
